Customer Questions & Answers

What is a Safety Cutter Used for? Is it a Box Cutter

The Slice Safety Cutter can be used to as box cutter, it easily handles packing tape on boxes, however, it has unique features that make it ideal for other applications.  Our customers use the Slice Safety Cutter to cut plastic wrapping, plastic and paper bags in a returns department, cutting lengths of rolls of plastic and paper and many other applications.  It's is ideal if you don't want to damage the contents of the package being opened but need to keep up efficiency

How is the Safety Cutter better than steel blade or other ceramic blade knives?

Most Safety Cutters rely solely on their handle design to prevent injuries.  With Slice, the safety is in the blade, they are 100% zirconium oxide which is much harder than steel.  It allows them to be sharpened in such a way that they are finger-friendly.  It also lasts on average 11.2 times longer than steel blades due to their hardness.  If you're looking to improve safety or efficency the Safety Cutter is a great option.
